New Art: The Long Pair

I'm diving into painting, and I highly recommend you do too. A couple of months ago, my girlfriend introduced me to the joys of spreading color on canvas. I'm never looking back. There's something so serene and mesmerizing about mixing acrylics. It's also easy to get lost in the fluidity of the brushstrokes. 

During an art session last night, I painted my first running-themed work. Titled "The Long Pair," the painting is a frenetic impression of the shoes I wore during my first 50K. Though I threw out these shoes, they still live in my memory. Check out the painting below.
