A new poem in Like the Wind Magazine
I have a new poem out in the wild and boy, am I jazzed.
Earlier this week, the 27th issue of the unique and wonderful running magazine Like the Wind dropped. I count myself incredibly lucky to have a poem included in its brilliant pages.
I should soon receive my hard copy of the magazine in the mail, but I'm in possession of a digital copy. It's an excellent issue, filled with wonderful writing and stories about running culture. I'm incredibly grateful to Imogen Lees, Julie Freeman and Simon Freeman for helping me share this poem with the world.
So hop on over to the Like the Wind website and check out the issue for yourself: https://www.likethewindmagazine.com/2021/03/05/ltw27-out-now/
My poem in this issue is titled "With the Ocean's Breath" and was inspired by my recent experiences running on the beach. I wrote some additional words about this experience in the blog post "Combing the Shore."
Anywhozle, you can check out the poem below. You'll note an awe-inducing illustration paired with the poem. The art was done by the talented Rafaelle Baldo. You can follow Baldo on IG @ike.got.sad
I'm so pleased with the publication of this poem. It's been well over a year since I've published any creative writing (poetry and fiction). It feels nice to be back in the groove.
